Yes, Buena Vista. Both town of and the area's surrounding. I unplugged and removed myself from the confines of work, hugged the kids, cat and dog...Kissed the wife and headed west. With many
a thing to ponder while I seek mental solitude from the trappings of
the grind back home. Seems as though these trips are needed on
a quarterly basis....I would love to find a Doctor or Therapist that would right a mandatory prescription for these type of get aways...so
I finally resign myself not to give anything other than my surroundings
and the day to day scenario that will or will not possibly play out..you
know take it as it comes, no concrete plans of having to be at any given place at any given time. I'm just going to roll with it especially
the mental Monopoly game that has been currently played....so with
get out of jail card and 200 bucks I find myself in the confines of the
Collegiate range of the Rocky Mountains. As a parting gift one of my
close friends at work presented me with a small piece of mental solitude. The instructions were simple, find a place in time on this journey and break it out read it.....this is message...

Like the way the desert opens up its sweet mouth and laughs
When someone melts pearls in the sky
And rain, rain
Returns like a divine lover
With a hundred wonderful gifts
O, the words from the the true teacher
Bring my mind and the cells
Such sacred nourishment and life.

When the moon is full
It gets gregarious and likes to chat.
I have heard it say,

"Look what can happen, dear seeker,
When you lean your graceful arms toward God in prayer,

Look at all the amorous light you can catch
That will help the night musicians and your
soul get loose."

The post is on the back side of Monarch Crest looking down into
Fooses Creek. This trip was truly wonderful. I came back with a
Spider bitten buttock and a broken bicylce frame. But as usual my
friends shine on me like the God's....I'm furnished a wonderful loaner
by the name of Gravel, and daily company of a cast of award winning
characters. I should seriously consider chronicling our escapades via a video log....it would truly be comedic documentary of stupidity,
lunicy, and a little mayhem alamode...oh..did I mention Mantrum?

Thanks to Dave, for his never ending quest to abolish and quash any
idea of planning.....

To Jim whom is approaching 60 and his continuing relaxed pace

To Buck ....who rolls with just about everything...finally disc brakes...we just have to get him tubeless.....

Jesse....god only knows what, where, and why he's talking of what...

Wendall...my first time to spend any time out and about...and overall
a person I'd much have the pleasure to visit with again...

Anthony...whom was'nt able to journey with us, but with large heart, and an attitude of mi casa su casa connected me with the love and care of Gravel no strings........There is defenitely some 'pay it forward' due for you....many, many thanks!

Thanks to all of you My trip was excellent and would have been imcomplete without you

I raise my glass to the Buena Vista Social Club...

Cheers...
